Two postdoc positions available

We have two postdoc positions available starting August/Sept/October, working with Emily Nicholson at the University of Melbourne, and collaborating with others in the new Melbourne Biodiversity Institute, partners at IUCN, NGOs, private sector and governments across the world.

  1. Ecosystems in the Global Biodiversity Framework: An exciting opportunity to undertake high quality research at the science-policy interface, focusing on new approaches and practical tools for integrating national and global data on ecosystems. The IUCN Red List of Ecosystems is a headline indicator for monitoring progress of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework of the UN Convention on Biological Diversity, and supporting its implementation. The postdoc improve methods and knowledge to facilitate rapid increases in the number of ecosystems and countries assessed globally using the Red List of ecosystems framework. More details and apply here.
  2. Private Sector Accounting, Assessment and Reporting on Ecosystems: Exciting opportunity to undertake high quality research at the science-policy interface, to develop new approaches and practical tools for including ecosystem-level biodiversity in private sector reporting on impacts, dependencies and nature-related risks. The Project is funded by an ARC Future Fellowship to Emily Nicholson: Linking risks to ecosystems with risks to human well-being (FT190100234). Find more details and apply here.

Applications are due 28th July 2023. Please contact Emily Nicholson for any queries.
